About Me

The Origin Story

As I was treating one of my clients, a 26 year-old dad, for his neck pain, he said to me, “I’m just tired of feeling like I’m broken.” As a physical therapist, I’ve seen and helped a lot of people with their injuries, but hearing such a young guy say those words struck me. And he wasn’t the only one who was affected on a deeper level.

Another client of mine used to go on walks and do exercise classes to stay healthy and relieve stress from working all day, but couldn’t anymore because of her ankle pain. She said it was “depressing.” And these are only two of many stories.

When people get injured or just even get those aches and pains, it tends to limit their life and what they can do: doing their job, doing work around the house, doing their hobbies, working out, or even being a dad or a mom to their kids. Hopefully, they come see a physical therapist. But oftentimes, people will just rely on medication to mask the pain but never really address the underlying issues. This is why I created the Durable Body.

About Me

Hey, I’m Keith Nunez, Doctor of Physical Therapy. I’m also a husband and father now. When I was younger, I used to not understand why my parents didn’t workout. I mean, everyone knows it’s good for you, right? Well after starting my own job, getting married, becoming a homeowner, trying to run an online business, and having a kid, I get it. Life is so busy.

But are we supposed to not take care of ourselves forever, accumulating injuries, aches, and pains along the way until our strength and vigor deteriorates before we eventually die? (Sorry for the 0-100.) I say no! I say we can take care of our bodies and become durable with the right approach.
